A message to our valued clients

As we begin 2018, we are very excited about the positive things taking place within the Ohio workers’ compensation industry and, more specifically, at CompManagement Health Systems (CHS). The state of Ohio has experienced record low premiums, decreased injuries, and has provided $3 billion back to employers over the past several years. The story not always told is how managed care organizations (MCOs), like CHS, play a critical role in managing claim costs. For more than 20 years, we have drastically improved First Report of Injury (FROI) processing, bill payment turnaround time, return-to-work performance, and case management and utilization review services, all of which have a direct impact on premiums. More importantly, the work we do has a direct impact on bringing injured employees back to work and to their everyday lives.

Satisfaction survey

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) will soon be issuing an MCO satisfaction survey outlining a series of questions about the services we provide. We truly hope that you are pleased with our services and select a high rating for CHS. Let me highlight some of our successes:

  • We provide an array of medical management and return-to-work services such as telephonic and on-site case management, vocational rehabilitation, transitional work, work-site therapy and utilization review (to name a few)
  • Our return-to-work results have been phenomenal over the years
  • Our FROI turnaround time is less than 1 day, and our data accuracy is 97%
  • Our bill turnaround time is less than 5 days, and our bill accuracy as reported by BWC is 99.7%
  • You have a dedicated medical management and account executive team to rely on
